I am an artist in many mediums. I am a painter, printmaker, photographer, garment maker, bead maker, and potter and sculptor.
I illustrate both the natural and the man made world around me. I try to find beauty, wonder, and excitement in both what I see, and in the materials I use. Australian land formations as seen from the air, or the way man made white buildings have beautifully tamed the rocky landscapes of a Greek island are examples of experiences that I want to show.
I would describe my clay pieces as useful sculptures. I work mostly with stoneware clay, and have, in recent years, discovered polymer clay which I use for making beads and decorations.
My skills have been acquired in numerous classes, workshops, study tours in Australia and overseas, and by practical experience.
